AAUW Community Action Grants — checklist

What this is: A letter of interest (LOI) for a grant that funds girls in STEM programs.
Ask: about $20,000 (if they invite a full proposal)
When: Submit LOI between Aug 17 and Sep 17, 2026
Funder site: AAUW Community Action Grant

What the board needs to do

  1. Send girls’ participation numbers (required — we will not invent these)
    Example: “4 of 12 students on the team are girls” or “3 girls in CAD/build/test roles.”
  2. Skim the LOI → loi.md
  3. Say go / edit to the grant lead
  4. Treasurer confirms W-9 / bank / determination letter are ready (grant readiness)
  5. One person creates an AAUW portal account and submits the LOI
